The national Girl Scouts-USA board has voted on its council re-alignment map on Aug. 28 and 29, and  will announce new council configurations in early September.

Each council merger could take a year or more, as councils realign staff, consolidate Web sites, develop common training programs and deal with the legal issues including land ownership.
